Already in 2012 Lunux (former Hellux) did deliver more than 6.000 LED fixtures for a huge project for the city of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia. The scale of the project is one of the largest LED street lighting projects in Germany. Already last year they continued to support the project with cor light: In 2016 further 1.500 fixtures and in 2017 another 900 fixtures of type ellipse have been delivered, more to come.
The project features light technology by cor light:
Luminaries "130 Ellipse" and "131 Ellipse" come with between 2 and 4 DS32 lighting units, depending on the area of use. The combination of carefully thought out luminaire design and highly efficient lighting technology makes for a high-quality package, and this has enabled HELLUX to win the contract against 14 international providers. Once the conversion is complete, approximately 2.2 gigawatt-hours only per annum will be needed for the street lighting. This will enable the town to reduce both costs and C02 in the long term.
